Joseph H. Miller III, CLU, ChFC (Joel) co-founded The New Canaan Group, LLC in 1990 and is a managing partner of The New Canaan Group BWA. Joel holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designations. He received a BS in accounting and an MBA in finance from Lehigh University. He has spent 20 years in the insurance and investment business. Joel represents the second generation of leadership for The New Canaan Group, which has joined with Blue Water Advisors in a powerful partnership to serve the discerning investor.
 

Max Haspel founded Blue Water Advisors and is a managing partner of The New Canaan Group BWA. A graduate of Colgate University, Max began his financial services career as an equity research analyst. With knowledge of the inner workings of Wall Street and business, he elected to start a boutique, research-centered financial services firm serving the high net worth client. Today, Blue Water Advisors has partnered with The New Canaan Group to bring investors truly comprehensive services. Max was recently named a Reuters AdvicePoint Top Advisor in the New York metro area.

He is an Investment Advisor Representative, and a Registered Representative of AXA Advisors, LLC. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designation.
